Kamesha Callands is a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in executive administration, social work, child services, and government relations. She currently serves as the Executive Assistant of Government Relations and Office of Engagement at CCP, as well as a CSFP Program Ambassador.

Kamesha’s current focus at Community College of Philadelphia is on developing partnerships with elected officials and corporate stakeholders to benefit the college. She has been influential in establishing the Corporate Volunteer Council and a student advocacy program, which led students to advocate for the college at the Harrisburg State Capitol. In addition to her professional roles, she is a devoted mother to a 4th grader at Our Mother of Consolation School where she is an active volunteer.

Kamesha strongly supports school choice, parental choice, and children’s choice in education, drawing from her own experience as a recipient of the Children Scholarship Fund, which enabled her to attend St. Helena Parish School and graduate from LaSalle University with a degree in Psychology. Following her graduation, Kamesha served as the Secretary of the Executive board at LaSalle University African American Alumni Association for several years. She is dedicated to advocacy, following in the footsteps of her mother, Darlene Callands.
