Why CSFP?

Access To Quality Education, Regardless Of Zip Code

The Pre-K-8th grade years are crucial for students to foster their cognitive abilities, build social behavior, and develop the skills needed to succeed and Philadelphia students deserve access to strong schools. Through philanthropic gifts and EITC/OSTC tax credit giving, CSFP provides academic scholarships for under-resourced families who are looking for alternatives to underperforming schools.

You can provide a child with access to a quality educational foundation today.

CSFP’s scholarship recipients’ median household annual income is just under $41,000 with 97% of families indicating employment for at least one member of the household.

CSFP scholarships give students and families stability, committing to support students through 8th grade and providing scholarships for all eligible students in a family.

Need-Based

We support under-resourced children and families. Up to three children per family, per year, may receive a scholarship, and scholarships are awarded via a random lottery. CSFP also assists families in finding the right fit school for their children.

Impactful

Scholarships change lives! One in four Pre-K-8th grade students attending private school in Philadelphia receives a CSFP scholarship. By empowering families to make the best educational decisions for their children, more Philly Kids can achieve long-term economic and social success. CSFP’s Breaking Barriers Campaign is dedicated to breaking barriers to quality education by providing more scholarships each year and carrying scholarships through 8th grade.

Inclusive

Our families reflect the racial, ethnic, and cultural demographics of the City of Philadelphia. CSFP partner schools offer varied curricula, including religious or non-religious, Montessori, or skill-related teaching; as well as before and after school care and extracurricular activities.

I am a parent of a child who is the recipient of the CSFP scholarship. Thank you for your donations. My child is schooled in a safe environment with personal attention due to the smaller class sizes. I am a very happy parent, with much less worry about my child’s education. Thank you!
