Tamala Edwards joined 6abc in January of 2005. She is the weekday co-anchor of Action News Mornings from 4:30am-7am, and is a regular co-host of Inside Story, conducting probing interviews with newsmakers like Governor Tom Corbett, Senator Bob Casey, Mayor Michael Nutter and others, as well as moderating many election debates.

Mr. Chavous is the President of Stride, Inc., a technology-based education company and the nation’s leading provider of proprietary curriculum and online school programs for students in pre-K through high school.

Visitation BVM School has been a beacon of hope in Kensington for nearly 140 years. Serving students in Pre-K 3 through 8th grade, our skilled staff is encouraged to explore instructional methods to foster each child’s educational potential. We believe through fostering positive relationships, we bring about unity in our diversity. Our faith-filled curriculum paired with aftercare and extracurricular programs provide our students with the tools and inspiration to be people of faith, lifelong learners, and responsible global citizens.

Ekram is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania studying Health and Societies with a concentration in Healthcare, Markets and Finance. She is an aspiring physician (minoring in Chemistry/Pre-med) with a passion for women’s health, wellness, and mental health. She hopes to create a more equitable and safe health care system for marginalized communities. In addition to her healthcare interest, Ekram is passionate about activism and social change. She attended The Islamic Education School (T.I.E.S).
