Talib Nadir Ellison

Talib Ellison currently works as Manager, Senior Counsel at Subaru of America, the wholly owned subsidiary of Subaru Corporation. In this role, Talib serves as the lead employment counsel for the entire national enterprise.

Prior to joining Subaru of America, Talib spent six years as Assistant General Counsel in the Labor and Employment Practice Group for Exelon Corporation – one of the nation’s largest energy providers. In that capacity, Talib was the lead labor and employment counsel for PECO Energy Company and Exelon Power (Generation). Talib also spent several years working as Assistant General Counsel at The School District of Philadelphia where he served as labor and employment counsel. It was during his time at the District where Talib reconnected with one of his lifelong commitments – the right of a high-quality education for all students. His commitment to educational equity is further reflected in his board involvement (see below).

Talib earned his Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law and his B.A. from Temple University. He currently serves on the board of Children’s Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia and Community College of Philadelphia’s Foundation.

A lover of the outdoors, Talib, his wife Rachel, and their two beautiful children (Idris and Noa) often head upstate to enjoy fires, fresh air, and the occasional bear spotting! When not outdoor adventuring, he and his family reside in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
