
Meet Sajayah, a kindergartner at Al-Aqsa Academy, who dreams of becoming a veterinarian and loves learning math and Arabic. Her mother, Tara, is grateful for the security and education Al-Aqsa provides for Sajayah.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: To go to kindergarten!
Q: What is your favorite subject at school? Why?
A: Arabic and math.
Q: Who is your role model? Why?
A: My mom, because she is the best mommy and I want to be like her.
Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: I want to be a veterinarian.
Q: What are you looking forward to this school year?
A: I am looking forward to learning more things and to be able to teach my family.

Q: What are your hopes for your child?
A: That she never feels different. I hope that she never feels our income will stop her dreams and I hope for a good future for her.
Q: What makes your child’s school the best fit for her/him?
A: She fits right in!
Q: Why do you think it is important for your child to attend a tuition-based school? Are there changes you have noticed?
A: Yes, Sajayah feels safe, welcomed and protected. She learns so much.
Q: What were your thoughts when you won the CSFP lottery?
A: I felt so blessed to be chosen. I hope one day, that if anyone needs proper funds for school, they can get it.
Q: In what ways does this scholarship affect your family?
A: It gives us hope that our spiritual and educational dreams can actually happen.
