Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: Play outside.

Q: What is your favorite subject at school? Why?
A: Math because I like math a lot.

Q: Who is your role model? Why?
A: My mom because she is a teacher.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up? Why?
A: I want to be a lot of things! My mom told me I could be anything so I made a list of things.

Q: What are you looking forward to this school year?
A: Going to 3rd grade.

Angelique, Lilian’s mother

Q: What are your hopes for your child?
A: To grow up to be an intelligent and gracious person.

Q: What makes your child’s school the best fit for her/him?
A: My daughter loves her school, the teachers, and even her peers. She has yet to have a single complaint. After dealing with lots of bullying at her previous schools, this school is a great change and a great fit for my daughter.

Q: Why do you think it is important for your child to attend a tuition-based school? Are there changes you have noticed?
A: The main change I’ve noticed is that my child is happy. She enjoys learning again and is able to focus solely on her education. With a tuition-based school the class sizes are limited which also limit the allowances for bullying and fighting.

Q: What were your thoughts when you won the CSFP lottery?
A: I was extremely excited because I would not have been able to afford a new school without it.

Q: In what ways does this scholarship affect your family?
A: It allows us to send my daughter to an amazing school without having to sacrifice any of our basic needs.

Q: What would you tell others who are looking to apply for a scholarship?
A: Take the time to apply because this scholarship is amazing and will definitely make a difference not only in the child’s life but in the family’s life as well.
