Oct 16, 2012

The CSFP School Directory was designed to help parents begin the process of finding a school that is the right match for their child. It offers questions to consider regarding academics, cost, school location and transportation options, extra-curricular activities, and values and discipline methods. It also contains important information submitted by school administrators of over 100 Philadelphia-area private and parochial elementary and middle schools., including school tuition costs, school accreditations and the average class size. Schools are conveniently listed in alphabetical order, by zip code and by school type.

Philadelphia School Partnership (PSP), an area nonprofit working to improve education options in Philadelphia, has launched a website to help Philadelphia parents make more informed decisions regarding their child’s education. The website provides information on nearly 500 public, charter, Catholic, and private schools, including information about school credentials, test scores, and transfer procedures. PSP built the multimedia resource in response to a Pew Charitable Trusts study, which found that 42% of parents of school-age children admitted experiencing difficulty when searching for information on Philadelphia schools.
