Ina Lipman, CSFP’s Executive Director, was quoted in a July article discussing the recent changes to the PA tax credit program centered on education, including the establishment of the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Program. The new program is focused on providing additional scholarships to children attending Pennsylvania’s worst-performing schools to enroll at private schools. The state released a list of these schools in late July. In the article, Ina says that it is unrealistic to expect that these new scholarships will be available this fall, but she notes that the new funding will really help children in need.
