Year-Round Opportunities

CSFP Events​

CSFP offers several key celebrations each year, including Lottery Days, Family Days, and End of School Year Celebration events. Events are attended by Philadelphia students and families, business leaders, community supporters, school administrators, and media.

CSFP annual events include:
  • End of School Year Celebration – April/May
  • Scholarship Application Kick-Off – August/September
  • December Lottery Day – December
  • Family Discovery Days - Throughout the year

Lottery Day

Each December, over 150 CSFP partners and supporters come together to celebrate, meet the CSFP community, and volunteer to call families sharing the good news that they’ve been selected for a scholarship! Lottery Day is CSFP’s longest-standing cornerstone event.

Family Discovery Days​

As part of CSFP’s commitment to providing enriching opportunities for the whole family, CSFP hosts Family Days each year for families to engage with one another and enjoy a great Philadelphia experience. Past event locations have included the Philadelphia Zoo and the Camden Aquarium.

Scholarship Application Kick-Off

Each September, CSFP kicks off our Lottery Application season with an event for families and supporters. Families looking for scholarships for their children can submit applications from September through March each year. Kick-Off events are crucial to raise awareness for CSFP scholarships.

End of School Year Celebration

Join CSFP in the Spring to celebrate our graduating 8th grade scholars and the end of the school year. Hundreds of parents, students, and members of our supporter community gather to wish our 8th grade scholars the best as they venture to the high school of their choice. Our 2024 event occurred during a weekend Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park.
