Maria recently joined the CSPF team after 18 years of nonprofit work in social services within the North Philadelphia Latino community. Maria has a background in working with families and at-risk youth through programs that focus on reunification, family empowerment and parenting education. Maria’s most recent position provided post-secondary opportunities for training and certification programs to youth with complex barriers. Maria comes to CSFP with a BSW degree from La Salle University and a Certificate in Lactation Counseling. As a CSFP parent and former parent ambassador, CSFP is a natural fit with Maria’s passion for adequate educational access for children in the city of Philadelphia. Maria is a proud and busy mom to five amazing boys, and is truly excited to serve and support the families and mission of CSFP within this new role.
