Supplemental Programs

While providing K-8th grade scholarship support for low-income Philadelphia children is CSFP’s top priority, we understand the value in providing additional resources for the families of children in our program. CSFP runs several supplemental programs throughout the year to meet specific needs of our program constituents, many of which have been identified by our annual program evaluation.

Each spring, CSFP and volunteers help families whose child(ren) have been selected from our random lottery complete paperwork necessary to finalize their award at our New Parent Orientation and Paperwork Clinic.

CSFP hosts supplemental tutoring sessions for rising 8th grade scholarship recipients and 9th grade alumni to get them on track for high school at our Math and Writing Tutorial.

Because we know learning also happens outside of school, CSFP partners with local cultural institutions and Art-Reach to bring affordable access to museums, shows, and events for CSFP families throughout the year.

Join us to read along with other CSFP families and staff! We'll announce one book from our "reading list" per quarter and post discussion themes here. Then, we'll host quarterly get-togethers with staff and families to discuss the books and mingle. All CSFP families, with children in grades 3-5th, are welcome to participate in this new pilot program.
