CSFP will provide financial assistance to a limited number of middle-schoolers enrolled in our program, so they can attend educational summer camps. Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis, and open to all current CSFP scholarship recipients in grades 3rd-8th.
The purpose of Camp Connections is to combat “summer slide” by providing an enriching and fun opportunity for CSFP scholarship recipients to learn, grow, and be challenged outside of their regular school environments. Selected recipients receive a fully-funded experience at a local, academically-focused summer program, pre-selected by CSFP.
CSFP has built partnerships with local institutions that host summer camps for Philadelphia students. This year, we are working with two different camps that provide instruction in core competencies for workforce development, such as math, science, language arts, and technology.
If selected, you will be required to mail a $50 deposit to CSFP offices to hold your child’s space in the program. CSFP will return your deposit after your child has attended the full summer camp.
*COVID-19 Considerations: We know that it’s an unpredictable time, but we’re going to move forward with summer program plans in the hopes that things will settle down by then.We acknowledge that any of the details and plans mentioned below could change at any time between now and the summer start dates. We will keep in touch with applicants about any updates.
This year’s application window has closed. We will notify selected families in late May. Questions? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note if your student is selected for this opportunity, CSFP will handle all registration directly with the program unless otherwise noted. Students should not register directly with the program unless instructed to do so upon approval from CSFP. Families who are not selected for the Camp Connections opportunity will be notified shortly after the deadline.
