Nicholas


Meet Nicholas, a second-grader at Immanuel Lutheran School. When he’s not playing soccer with his classmates, he’s reading about world travel.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: Play baseball, soccer, street hockey and basketball.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your school?
A: Playing soccer with my classmates at recess.

Q: What is your favorite subject at school? Why? What do you like most about it?
A: Reading. I enjoy reading to my classmates. I like reading about different places and people in the world.

Q: Who is your role model and why do you look up to them?
A: My friend Patrick, who shows me how to be respectful of people, how to stay healthy, and work out, and eat a good diet.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: A plumber.

Q: What are your hopes for your CSFP child(ren)?
A: To receive the best education possible in a small, safe, environment.

Q: Why do you think it is important for your child(ren) to attend a tuition-based school in Philadelphia?
A: Nicholas needs a small class environment, whereas many non-tuition based schools have minimum of 25 children per class.

Q: How does your CSFP scholarship affect your family?
A: The CSFP scholarship enables Nicholas’s family to send him to Immanuel Lutheran School. This year 2012-13 Nicholas was a straight A student for four Quarters.

Q: What would you tell others about CSFP?
A: It’s a great program that gives children a chance to get a good education.
