Philadelphia has the highest poverty rate among the nation’s 10 largest cities. In the City of Philadelphia, only 75% of School District students graduate on time and fewer than half of those students enroll in college.

Over 90,000 Scholarships Awarded
To date, we have awarded more than $147 million in scholarships! During the 2024-2025 school year, CSFP served more than 6,500 students across 150+ partner schools as well as provided assistance for summer camp, coordinated family fun events, and more.

Long-Term Outcomes
Scholarships have a lasting impact, even after a CSFP scholar graduates 8th grade. Our students realize success in high school and beyond!
99% of CSFP alumni in the class of 2022 graduated high school on time.
72% of the CSFP alumni in the class of 2023 enrolled in college; others enrolled in certificate programs for skilled professions, joined the military, opened their own businesses, and more.
96% of families feel their child is prepared or well prepared for the next school year.

During the 2024-2025 School Year, CSFP served nearly 5,000 families. Families who are part of the CSFP community receive more than just scholarship support – CSFP offers supplemental programs like Camp Connections and Family Day activities.

CSFP partner schools are diverse, offering Montessori, faith-based, or independent school experiences, and are located throughout the city.
