CSFP would like to recognize and congratulate a former team member that continues to exemplify the values that CSFP stands for and embraces: Cindy Nicoletti. Recently, Cindy was featured in her alma mater’s newsletter – the University of Pennsylvania’s “Penn News Today.” Please click here for the story. Pursuing her childhood dream of becoming an elementary school teacher, Cindy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011 and joined CSFP with a fervent belief in the importance of education borne partly out of personal experience. Cindy’s family began receiving financial aid early in her life as she began kindergarten which allowed her and her siblings to have the opportunity to attend a private school of their choice. Financial aid and scholarships supported Cindy through grade school, enabled her to attend a private high school, and ultimately helped her to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania.
Now teaching in a grade-school classroom at a North Philadelphia elementary school, Cindy is realizing her lifelong dream and is in a great position to directly promote scholarships like the ones that helped her get to where she is and those offered by CSFP. She makes a point to continually encourage her students to apply for scholarships. Reflecting on one promising student in her class, she says, “I really hope he gets the funds he needs to go to the university that he deserves.”
CSFP was fortunate to have Cindy on its team and is especially grateful for her continued involvement at CSFP events. Thank you, Cindy, and congratulations!
