Two very different realities: Back to School for Philly Kids

Sep 17, 2015

Back to school time is serves to motivate all of our partners – from scholarship students, parents, teachers and participating schools to take full advantage of the educational opportunities afforded them. It is also a motivational time for CSFP staff, as we receive emails, calls, and messages through our social media channels from parents, thanking us for the much-needed financial support. “Thank you for making this dream a reality,” wrote Jaimee, mother of two, on CSFP’s Facebook wall this month.

Much needs to be done in Philadelphia, and Pennsylvania, before we can say that all children in the Commonwealth have access to quality equal education. On November 2, The National Constitution Center will host an educational summit on policy and legal issues surrounding access to equal education in Philadelphia and across the nation. Ina Lipman, CSFP Executive Director, will join other area education experts as part of a panel discussion on the topic. Please join us to learn more, and join the city-wide effort to improve the outcomes for our city’s future leaders.
