CSFP Hosts New Application Kick-off Event at Citizens Bank Park

On Thursday, November 15, 2012, CSFP hosted its Annual New Application Kick-off Event at Citizens Bank Park. This event marks the opening of CSFP’s 2013-2014 new scholarship application season. CSFP Board President Evie McNiff and CSFP Executive Director Ina Lipman acknowledged the presence and generous support of several attendees and lead donors, including The Maguire Foundation, PNC Bank, ACE Group, and Wawa, to name a few. They also informed the more than 300 Philadelphia families, students and participating school administrators that were present about the organization’s four-year K-8th grade scholarship program and the application process. Mishra W., parent of current scholarship recipients, shared her CSFP experience with those in attendance. She talked about the CSFP program and described the positive impact on her family’s life. Following the presentation, CSFP staff, with the wonderful help of the Phillie Phanatic, distributed the first applications, which many excited parents completed at the event.
