On Thursday, March 14th, friends, donors, and volunteers joined CSFP staff for our Annual Lottery Day Celebration at the offices of Drinker, Biddle & Reath, LLP. As we began to make calls letting selected families know that their children won the scholarship lottery, we all shared the joy this wonderful news brought to so many families. A special thank you to Drinker, Biddle & Reath, LLP for hosting this inspiring event! CSFP is very appreciative of our partnership with this law firm.
Current CSFP parent Jenai J. spoke to the group about her child, who transferred to private school from public after receiving a CSFP scholarship: “My daughter had a rough time in her old school. Now she is learning ballroom dancing and Spanish; she’s on the track team; and she’s in the reading Olympics. Her school provides her with so many opportunities she didn’t have before.”
CSFP is thrilled to announce that 2,000 more children will receive the gift of quality, tuition-based education for the 2013-2014 school year as part of our Campaign for 10,000 Children! CSFP will award 2,000 new, four-year, partial scholarships to children in K-8th grade this June. Some of these families were those called at Lottery Day. All families winning this year’s CSFP scholarship lottery will receive information packets over the coming weeks.
