CSFP Families Take a Trip to the Adventure Aquarium

Aug 10, 2018

Family at Aquarium croppedMore than 400 CSFP students and family members joined CSFP for our annual trip to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden on August 1. CSFP scholarship recipients and their families learned about sharks, hippos, and other marine life at this one-day event, made possible through CSFP’s partnership with local cultural access program, Art-Reach.

CSFP provides trips to local cultural institutions as way to enrich our program, and provide families with opportunities to give their children educational experiences outside the classroom. Our trips to the Adventure Aquarium, Franklin Institute, and Academy of Natural Sciences provide exposure to the sciences for CSFP students in the hope that Philadelphia children will explore their city, and our world, with curiosity.

With more than 5,000 children headed back to school with CSFP scholarships this year, we might just have the next Sylvia Earle or Jacques Cousteau in our midst!
