Established in July, the OSTC program allows students from over 150 under-performing Philadelphia schools to pursue private educational opportunities through scholarship support. Public interest in the program is great and CSFP has had hundreds of requests for more information. However, Ina reports that funds under this new program will likely be unavailable for some time. Area corporations were only permitted to start filing tax credit applications under this program to the state, on August 8, 2012. So far, $10 million out of the $50 million available tax credits under this new program have been utilized by companies.
