This new, multi-year investment marks the largest contribution the Trust made to CSFP in its 20 years of support. CSFP will have a new Board Chair and Vice-Chair PHILADELPHIA – Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia has selected a new Chair and Vice-Chair for the organization’s Board of Directors. Margaret Dinneny (Chief People Officer, Wawa) will serve as CSFP’s new Board Chair and Jeremy Ben-Zev (Market President, Truist Bank) will serve as the new Vice-Chair. Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro’s recently announced support for parental choice in education, together with Republican gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano’s previously announced support of education funding following the child, is a historic first for Pennsylvania. On Friday, July 8, 2022, Governor Wolf signed PA’s 2022-2023 fiscal budget, which includes a $125 million increase to the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC), Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC), and similar programs—the biggest ever in the initiative’s history. This includes: An $88 million increase for EITC K-12 Scholarships (from $175 million to $263 million) – a 50% increase.
