CSFP Mission
Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP) is a privately-funded program whose mission is to provide children from low-income Philadelphia families with financial access to quality, safe, K-8th grade, tuition-based schools, thereby increasing their long-term economic and social success. CSFP grants need-based scholarships to children from low-income Philadelphia families, all of which are awarded by random lottery.
Dear Friends,
2018 was a year of growth and opportunity for Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP). We supported more than 5,000 children with partial scholarships, expanded our outreach into the community through our Parent Ambassador program, and worked to increase access to quality schools through both our Citywide Application Launch event and annual Philly K-8 School Fair.
Through it all, we kept one word in mind this year: access. We want #EveryPhillyKid to have access to quality education, and we’re grateful that you have joined us in this work. Read on to find out what we did to expand access for Philadelphia children in 2018!
Sincerely,
Heather Weiss Frattone

"CSFP’s work is life-changing for children across Philadelphia. Their commitment to quality education is closely aligned with PNC’s commitment to early education. We are privileged to support CSFP’s efforts to provide Philadelphia families with joy and hope through K-8th grade scholarship access.”

"The relief and excitement I felt when my family received our CSFP award letter, all those years ago, has only been matched by my daughter’s college acceptance letters.”
