Q: What is the name(s) of your child(ren), grade(s), and school of your child(ren)?
A: Julian Barnes attends Gwynedd Mercy Academy, where he is a 3rd grader. This is his first semester.

Q: What are your hopes for your child(ren)?
A: I hope that my son grows up to be a good law abiding citizen who cares about others. I hope that he is successful at whatever he chooses to do. I hope and pray that he continues to be blessed, healthy and safe.

Q: Why do you think it is important for your child(ren) to attend a tuition-based school in Philadelphia? Are there any improvements you have seen since choosing a tuition-based school?
A: I think that it is important for my child to attend a tuition based school because it appears that these schools offer a variety of activities and services that are supported by their environment. They fare focused on educating the whole child and supporting and communicating with parents.

Q: How does your CSFP scholarship affect your family?
A: Our CFSP scholarship helped to lessen the cost of the tuition. I did not have to get another job, which ultimately allowed me to spend a little more time with home and project assignments. I was so relieved and my stress level decreased.

Q: How did you feel when you were notified that you won the CSFP lottery? What was your reaction?
A: When I was notified that we won the lottery for CSFP…I was elated. I felt happy, lucky and relieved all at once. I screamed, “ YES.”

Q: What would you tell others about CSFP?
A: CFSP has helped my family to afford an education for my child. I would let others know that CSFP will help and guide parents through the process. The staff at CSFP are professional, caring, patient and most importantly, understanding. I would encourage others to apply and do their research/homework.
